Sorry Von!

One more super exciting thing that has happened...it was back in May, but nonetheless fabulous! My dear friend Yvonne married Steve Feld. I am so happy for her. He's a great guy and treats her like a queen. I love to see my friends happy! I was able to be a bridesmaid and it was so much fun spending time with all the girls and helping where ever we could. So a really late Congrats Von!

Ok, so I thought I'd be back after the last post to fill you all in on everything, and well it's taken a lot longer than I thought. So we're going to give it a go and see what we can accomplish today!
So let's start with #1...
We are finally all moved into the new house! I'm so dang excited! We still need to put up most of the decorations, but I unloaded the last box on Saturday. It's amazing how fast a home can fill up when you thought you were going to have all this extra room. We are loving the house! I don't have any pics of the house so I'll have to get some of those and post them.

On vacation we stopped at Vegas on the way over, then went to Universal Studios, 6 Flags & Disneyland, and then stopped back in Vegas before heading home. I must say I enjoyed Disneyland the best. I already want to go back, mostly because we were stuck in our hotel room for 3 days because we had the flu. We went with Dal's family and drove all the way there. I'm not sure if most of you know this or not, but I'm not a good road-tripper. I have a 0 patience, and a very short attention span so the drive was a little rough at times, but turned out fairly well. I had never really been to Vegas so I was excited to see what it was like. The 1st stop we were all starving and walked around for like 2 hours trying to find a reasonably priced buffet. We ended up going to some of the really nice casinos so that was way fun seeing how elaborate they were. We finally found a buffet at Treasure Island and it was delicious. They had an entire room for just desserts! (sad to say I never made it in there) I must have eaten something with MSG in it because my 1st plate of food was some Chinese something or the other and I got SUPER sick. So that wasn't much fun.
Our first day in Cali we went to 6 flags. It was way fun, but oh boy. There were a lot of loops and I thought after a few hours I was going to puke! =) So I'm not sure I'll ever go back there because I can't take all that. It's fun, but my tummy doesn't like it.
Next day we went to Universal Studios and that was super fun. I had lots of fun on those rides, and just enjoyed being with the family.
The next 5 days were Disneyland! I was just so excited because I hadn't been there in so long, I couldn't really remember it. We spent 2 super fun days, and then all heck broke loose. That's when we started getting super sick. We spent the next 2 days in bed. The 5th day we were there, it was my birthday!! I was so excited to spend my bday in Disneyland. We still weren't feeling fabulous, but had a great time anyway. We went on some rides, then went to the Rain Forest Cafe for dinner and closed down the park. I even got some presents! They gave me Disney Bucks because it was my bday so I got a hoodie and a new purse! The sad part is everyone else started getting sick at this point. We just drove to Vegas, went to our hotel and went to bed! Sad!
But really it was a fun trip!

Julie had Myah Suzanne Christensen on July 18th. She is so dang cute, I just can't get enough of her. She's already getting so big! She has dark curly brown hair and it's just adorable! Here are some super cute pictures of her.

#4 was the family reunion. It was lots of fun. It was a nice little get away but not much to tell....

I am so happy to report that I will be going back to my branch....(drum roll please!) TOMORROW!!!! It's been a super long 8 months. I've learned a ton, and grateful for the relationships I've gained while being there, but I'm so happy to be going "home". My cute branch is even throwing me a little luncheon when I get back. I just love them! I can't wait!

Quick Update

Ok so blogging apparently isn't my thing, because I can't seem to keep it updated. But boy oh boy has a lot happened. Let's count them shall we!
1) We decided it was time for us to spread our wings and buy our own house. It is super crazy how quickly everything happened. But we are LOVING it! It just barely moved in, and are still searching through boxes trying to find all our belongings.
2) We went of vacation to Disneyland with Dallas's whole family. It was lots of fun, especially because I was finally able to spend some time with Clay (his little brother). Poor kid got off his mission Wednesday and we headed for vaca the next week. We ended up getting super sick, but it was a lot of fun nonetheless.
3) My sister had her baby! So freakin cute! Myah Suzanne Christensen.
4) We had a great time at our family reunion, it was interrupted by Myah being born, but we are all so excited she's here.
5) I think there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel, and I may just being going back to my branch soon. Can you hear the Hallelujah Chorus? Cuz I sure can!!

Well for right now those are the biggest things that have happened (at least that I can think of right now). Lots of little things in between, but that's a run down for now. I promise to be back soon with pictures and more details!
